I skipped posting my Nailpolish Of The Week post last week, but I’m still in the same polish this week, so you didn’t miss out on anything! Last week I got my first gel polish manicure (I decided to go with that over regular polish because I knew my nails would get messed up with all the packing I needed to do), and while I wouldn’t do it super regularly, I have really enjoyed it! I got OPI’s “the spy who loved me” nail polish. It’s a shimmery red color that just looked like Christmas.
This was a few days after I got the manicure. I really love that I can be as hard as I have been on my nails, and now, even though it’s been more than a week, they’re still in great shape!
And now for some Friday Facts for you all!
1. Earlier this week I filled up my car for $1.92 a gallon- how unreal is that?! I can’t believe that gas costs half of what it did this past summer, and I’m really hoping that it’ll stay low for a little while now.
2. These hard candies. Every Christmas for as long as I can remember, we’ve had these hard candies out starting on Christmas, and they really taste like my childhood. Have any of the rest of you ever had them?
3. For the first time ever, Melissa and I got to participate in #bibchat at the same place! We are both BibRave Pros, and try to participate in the #bibchat twitter chat on Tuesdays at 9est/8 cst each week. Have YOU ever participated in bibchat? (if not, why not kick 2015 off with joining the chat next Tuesday?!)
4. This year my parents decided to get each of us a few 1/4 zip shirts, and almost all of mine come with thumbholes. I now have enough to last me a full week… and I think you all know what I’ll be living in this winter 🙂 (I’m wearing one of them in the above picture).
5. As I was going through a box of old things at home, I realized that I had gotten a letter in high school (as in a letter for a letterman’s jacket). I really had no recollection that this had happened, so I was pretty surprised to see that!
Now it’s your turn to share! Have you used gel polish before? Tell me a random fact from your week!
That candy reminds me of Christmas at my grandparents house. They always had that candy during the holidays. I can’t believe gas is under $2 where you live. It is still around $2.40 here in Oregon, but that is likely due to the fact that we don’t pump our own gas and employ people to work at gas stations.
The candy feels very “old time-y” to me, which is part of why I love it. So you don’t ever get to pump your own gas?
Wow, super jealous of less than $2 a gallon we got to about $2.20something, but that was the lowest.
Gas dropped another few cents since I posted this! I wonder if you all will eventually drop below 2?! Im loving having such a low price right now!
