Ingredients: (makes 3 servings)
Mix waffles according to instructions on the box. I used bisquick but you can use any waffle recipe (and adjust ingredient list accordingly). Then blend cherries in a blender until fairly smooth (but you want some chunks in there!). Mix cherries and vanilla flavoring into mix and cook according to instructions in the waffle maker.
After removing from waffle iron, dust with powdered sugar and syrup.
This was a really easy way to add a little something to a typical breakfast and add some fun for Valentine’s Day!
